KEAG has been running a Recycling Centre at our premises since 1993. This centre is the only one of its kind in our immediate region and is widely utilised. Over the years well over a hundred tonnes of recyclables have passed through the centre. Sadly, we have had to stop collecting newspaper and cardboard, but the centre still takes glass, tin cans and any types of coloured plastics. Our drop off centre is more like a Recycling theme park with interesting sculptures and décor. We have now taken this centre to the next level by linking it to a very exciting Craft-from-Waste initiative and our Junk Evolution Shop. A large amount of these recyclables, in particular plastics are now being used by our craftmakers. This centre has proven to be an invaluable educational tool that has spread to nearby communities. Please support this drop off centre and help to reduce the pressure on our dwindling landfill sites.
